HomeMissile Command (set 1)
A seminal arcade game in which the player must defend six cities from nuclear attack by moving a target over the incoming nuclear missiles and blowing them from the sky. The player has three missile launchers at its disposal (to the left, right and middle of the screen), with each launcher having only a limitied supply of ground-to-air missiles. Missile Command's theme was indicative of the very real fears of nuclear attack that were present during the Cold War; a tense nuclear stalemate that raged between the East and West at that time.
